Educational Counsellor – UK Secondary Education (IGCSE & A Levels)
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Educational Counsellor to support parents and students in understanding the UK secondary school education system, with a strong focus on IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
Role Overview
The Educational Counsellor will play a key role in guiding students and families through the UK curriculum, ensuring they fully understand the structure, subject choices, academic pathways, and future university opportunities in Egypt and abroad. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to deliver both online and in-person presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise parents and students on the UK secondary education system, including IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Explain the full academic journey before enrollment, helping families understand expectations, timelines, and outcomes.
- Guide students on how to effectively utilize their educational journey to achieve their academic and career goals.
- Support students in subject selection, including:
- Choosing appropriate IGCSE subjects
- Planning A Level subject combinations
- Understanding how subject choices impact university admissions
- Clearly explain university requirements in Egypt and internationally, including equivalency and progression pathways.
- Deliver engaging presentations and information sessions online and face-to-face as required.
- Respond to parent and student inquiries with accurate, up-to-date academic guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the UK education system, particularly IGCSE and A Levels.
- Experience in educational counselling, academic advising, or student recruitment is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex academic information in a clear and student-friendly manner.
- Confidence in presenting to groups both online and in person.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centered approach.
