The Economics, Management, Finance and Social Sciences degrees (EMFSS) provided at our teaching centre is under the academic direction of the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

What is a RECOGNISED TEACHING CENTRE (RTC)? We are the 1st UOL RTC to operate in Egypt. We operate under the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in two of its AASTMT Campuses (Heliopolis and Smart Village). Which means our institution is recognised by UOL to show excellence in teaching the LSE courses and in providing support to students in terms of academics and administrative issues. Our recognised teaching centre has been receiving commendation letters for the past four years from both UOL and LSE, for excellent pass rates and students’ results.

What are the entry requirements?
- Age 17+ by 30 November in the year of registration.
- For IG students certificates:
CHESS Requirements: 8 O Level IGCSEs including English & Math (C or higher), otherwise it can be replaced by anything higher such as AS or AL
Direct Entry: 8IGCSEs including English & Math +2 ALs or 2AS and 1 AL
Overlapping rule: the same subject cannot be used twice for admission purposes. For example, if you have a GCSE / O level and a GCE A level in Geography, we count the subject once for admission purposes.
If these requirements are met the student is then enrolled as a degree student, which means he/she will start the 12 courses of the degree right away. We follow a British credit hour system, 360 credit hours, distributed among 12 modules. Each module is taught over a full academic year. If these requirements are not met then the student is enrolled as a CHESS student. We are the only RTC in Egypt that delivers the CHESS track which is CertHE Social Sciences (Certificate of Higher Education in Social Sciences) which means the student can start in the 12 courses but at a slower rate (year 1- two courses only) and year 2 (2 courses only) followed by 8 courses on the following two years.

If the student holds an International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE): English as a Second Language (grade B) minimum, then no English Proficiency Test required.
- APTIS: must achieve an overall CEFR score of at least B2 equivalent with at least B2 equivalent in each sub category.
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English.
- City & Guilds International ESOL 8984 Mastery award.
- Duolingo: must achieve an overall score of at least 105.
- (IELTS) International English Language Testing System: 6 overall, with 5.5 in each sub-test (Academic or General or IELTS Indicator Online Test).
- Password English Language Test: 6 overall, with 5.5 in each sub-test.
- Pearson Test of English, Academic: 54 overall, with 54 in Reading and Writing elements.
- University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) Business English Certificate, Level 3 only (BEC 3 award).
- (TOEFL) iBT Test of English as a Foreign Language (including Special Home Edition test): 87 overall, with 21+ in Reading and Writing sub-tests and 19+ in Speaking and Listening sub-tests.

What are the fees?
Fees are split into AASTMT fees and UOL Fees.
- AASTMT fees are divided into 3 categories where fees are discounted based on academic performance and announced every academic year. Students may be subject to further scholarships based on academic or athletic achievements. Please contact AASTMT Admissions office for further details.

To alleviate the financial burden on parents, Egyptian applicants who have obtained Thanawiya Amma or equivalent certificates offered inside the Arab Republic of Egypt may opt to pay their fees in Egyptian Pound as per the Dollar exchange rate specified by AASTMT for this term, which is 14.80 Egyptian Pounds.
■ 100 US Dollars are added to the fees annually, to be calculated on the basis of the Dollar exchange rate determined by AASTMT.
■ Total annual increase in US Dollar exchange rate does not exceed 10% of the exchange rate specified by AASTMT which may divide it over the two semesters.
