We are pleased to announce Pearson Edexcel upcoming free training series in August titled

“Understanding Assessment & Improving Delivery”
for International GCSE and A Level subjects.

The main focus of these sessions will be on the assessment of the specification, and how your
understanding of how assessments are structured for the qualification.
teaching can be adapted to help your students’ performance on examination papers.
These training sessions are designed for teachers with 1 to 2 years of experience in teaching the
subject.

By the end of each session, delegates will:
– Be introduced to the idea of assessment objectives: what are they and why they are used when
  writing examination papers.
– Analyse recent question papers and learn which types of question match the different
  assessment objectives.
– Investigate different assessment objectives, considering how questions in these areas have
  been answered by looking at feedback from previous exam series
– Discuss strategies for teaching to try and make sure students can access questions targeting
  different assessment objectives.
– Network, discuss best practice and share ideas with other teachers.

Each session counts as 5 hours of CPD, and participants will receive an e-certificate upon
completion.
We encourage your teaching staff to register early as space.
