ICT Cambridge IGCSE Syllabus Updates(2023-2025)
Starting from 2023
-The no. of topics didn’t change, they’re still 21 chapters
-There are changes to the marks and duration of each paper
There’re 3 papers:
-Paper 1:
- Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes instead of 2 hours
- Grades: 80 marks instead of 100 marks
- % :40% of the total marks
- Exam Details: Theoretical Paper
-Paper 2:
- Duration: 2 hours,15 minutes instead of 2 hours, 30 minutes
- Grades:70 marks instead of 80 marks
- % :30% of the total marks
- Exam Details: Practical paper- Document Production, Databases and Presentations,
-Paper 3:
- Duration: 2 hours,15 minutes instead of 2 hours, 30 minutes
- Grades:70 marks instead of 80 marks
- % :30% of the total marks
- Exam Details: Practical paper- Spreadsheets and Website Authoring
Changes to Syllabus:
Changes to the structure or titles of areas of study include the following:
- Modelling applications
- Computer-controlled systems
- Copyright
- Create or edit a document
- Tables
- Headers and footers
- Databases
- Spreadsheets
New areas of study include:
21.2 Create a web page:
- Use of metatags
- video controls
- Apply classes to elements within a web page
21.3 Use Stylesheets
Characteristics of a style and a class including the difference between them
Create classes including:
- background properties including colour, images
- font properties
- table, table row and table data properties including size, background colour, horizontal and vertical alignment, spacing, padding, borders (collapsed, colour, thickness, visible/invisible)

- Effects of IT on employment
- Data handling applications
- Applications in manufacturing industries
- Computers in libraries
- Monitoring and tracking systems
- Mail merge
- Test the data model(In Data Analysis Chapter)
